Creation of sites. The design phase of the website
The process of creating websites includes several stages. You can read about the first of them, the previous one, here. Now we will talk about the second stage of creating websites-the design stage. As already mentioned here, at the design stage, the specialists of the web design Studio plan to develop the site.
Planning begins with drawing up a technical task for the site. What is it? Terms of reference – a document that describes the following aspects of creating sites:
the goal of this website;
the purpose of the site;
target audience;
the concept of the website;
analysis of competitor sites;
requirements for the content of the website;
functional and technical requirements;
site structure.
Determining the structure of a website includes planning sections, navigation through the site. What will the site menu look like? Where and how will be located in these or other modules? The answers to these questions allow you to imagine what the future site will look like at the design stage.
The terms of reference (TOR) cannot be standard for everyone. Each case of creating websites is unique and requires an individual approach. Sometimes the customer makes the technical specification in advance, sometimes the technical task is made up in the course of negotiations by the joint efforts of both the customer and the web design Studio that fulfills the order. It is worth noting that no matter what the settings were not selected for the technical specifications, they should be objective and not subjective. The item “I Want my mother to like the site” is not suitable for the vehicle.
A well-written technical task will not only help you describe the site development task as accurately as possible, but also show how well the developed site meets the goals and objectives.
